Other packaging
Please find below a list of the other types of packaging used in our products and some explanation.
Multipack Yogurts
- Pots - Polystyrene - although not widely recycled - this plastic is lightweight yet strong so we can minimise the amount used, and being a simpler plastic requires lower temperatures/less energy to manufacture. So far we have been unable to find a more widely recyclabled material that will still seperate / 'snap'-apart effectively when you take the pots home.
- Card sleeve - widely recycled - card is a sustainable wood-based product
- PET lids - although made of PET, unfortunately because this is a film, limited recycling facilities currently exist
Divine Rice
- Pot - PP - this type of plastic is used to as it is safe to heat in the microwave - recyclable but check local facilities. NB We understand that recycling facilities for PP are likely to improve in the future
- Lid - foil - recyclable but check local facilities
- Card sleeve - widely recycled - card is a sustainable wood-based product
Milk
- Bottle - HDPE - widely recycled
with HDPE screw cap - recyclable but check local facilities
- Or Tetra Pak Carton - widely recycled click here for more environmental information about Tetra Pak information

Butter
- Foil - recylable but check local facilities
Cream, Creme Fraiche and 80g small pot yogurts
- PE-coated cardboard. This is a composite material made from card - a sustainable wood-based product, which has then been coated in a fine layer of plastic to provide a moisture barrier and maintain the keeping quality of the wet products inside. However this essential coating unfortunately means you cannot recycle these pots in your normal cardboard recycling. We hope that other recycling pathways will be created for this kind of pot in the future as have been developed for other composite card materials used in liquid cartons such as Tetra Paks.
