Porridge

This was one of my children’s favourite breakfasts when they were babies. Oats are a good choice for long-lasting energy and can also aid digestion. Dried apricots provide a good source of beta carotene, iron and potassium and their natural sweetness makes them ideal for first purées.
Ingredients
150ml Rachel’s Organic whole milk
15g porridge oats
50g soft, ready-to-eat dried apricots, chopped
1 large ripe pear, peeled, cored and chopped
Method
Put the milk, porridge oats and chopped apricots into a small saucepan, bring to the boil and then simmer, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes. Purée with the chopped pear.
